Naomi is back in the WWE after giving it to longtime TNA knockout Jordynne Grace.
And then, Jordynne Grace comes out at number 5 to the shock of everyone. While she is not the first Knockouts Champion to make an appearance in a Royal Rumble, she's not like Mickie James - who has had a lengthy tenure with the WWE Women's Championship. In some ways, I would rather have a TNA woman joining the Rumble than some other fodder from Raw or Smackdown. Tifanny Stratton worked because she has been booked well in NXT and Natalya is now more of a nostalgia pick, but you need to buy in with the likes of Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, the tag team of Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, and Tegan Nox.
R-Truth came to the ring at number 24 and got beaten up by Nia Jax again. I like most of R-Truth's shenanigans and I would rather have this than go for blind tags in battle royals, getting confused in tag team matches, and even getting a prop when it's not needed.
And then, former AEW attraction Jade Cargill made her WWE debut. Her presentation is awesome. One thing to note is that Jade has the charisma of a pop star unlike what she had in AEW wherein she was positioned as Chyna 2.0. While giving her the Goldberg streak is good for her stature, it felt as if WWE had to change what she learned because it's the same thing that would fail her.
Ultimately, Bayley wins her first Royal Rumble against Cargill and the returning Liv Morgan. This win is a good setup for her impending match against IYO SKY because logically, Rhea Ripley is a more dominant champion than IYO. Ripley leads and takes out men in a boss-like fashion while IYO had to lean in on Bayley's stature as she was on the verge of departure prior to Damage CTRL.
I guess Ripley's Wrestlemania challenger will be determined in the Elimination Chamber premium live event.
