THIS POSTER IS PREACHING

I don't know if Manila Beer returned to obscurity after getting a re-launch in the early 2010s (I think,) but back then they had a least a three-season run in the PBA. Among the names to play for the squad are Ramon Fernandez (when they were still called Beerhausen,) Atoy Co, Lim Eng Beng, Yoyoy Villamin, Ricky Relosa, and Abet Guidaben.

The Brewmasters never won a PBA title but they went to the Finals three times. They hold a dubious 1-11 finals record after getting swept by Great Taste in 1984 and Northern Cement in 1985, before extending their series against Ginebra to five games. Asia Brewery halted their Manila Beer franchise basketball operations after the 1986 PBA season and a year later, would eventually leave the PBA altogether when they sold their franchise to the Purefoods Hotdogs.

They would eventually return in 1999 and would then leave after the 2001 PBA season following a statement that the PBA is a San Miguel league.

Anyway, I never really played basketball as a kid because I had asthma and I scratch like hell whenever I sweat. With that said, I tried my best to attend post-basketball gimmicks because for sure, there is a good chance of alcohol involved.

While it's not as insane as Tirso Cruz III, Mark Gil, Bembol Roco, Michael de Mesa, and Rez Cortez swigging a bottle as if Manila Beer is another name for Lipovitan, Bacchus, or Gatorade, this is giving me nostalgia vibes.
