A couple of months prior, Manny Pacquiao appeared on Running Man.
Now unlike most Filipinos, The Fighting Fist of the Philippines is still revered in a lot of places.
For example, Korea.
Now this is not the first time Manny visited a Korean variety show set as he once guested on Yoo Jae Suk's other top-rating program, the defunct Infinite Challenge (Pacquiao also appeared in Knowing Bros but none of the castmates were in Running Man). This is where the two icons met as Jae Suk is basically known as the top variety host in Korea and Pacquiao is the best in what he does.
So when Running Man went to the Philippines for a fan meet, it was awesome to see that Pacquiao made true to his promise to host the crew during their visit. When they got to his place, it was like they were high school students touring a museum with Kim Jong Kook ogling at Manny's gym.
Also, Manny witnessed first-hand how Jeon So Min is a nutjob. I don't know what the hell was she thinking but either she knows that the next scene is going to be in a random Laguna resort or she packed extra underwear. Like I said, she's crazy funny and it's really hard to pick between her and Mi Joo in terms of insanity.
Also, it helped that Ryan Bang is there to facilitate the proceeding. When the translator, gets the flak, that means he's working. And I like his character as the translator that exaggerates his actions. We all know he's really like that but when he talks it feels as if he is a low-key part of their group.
I really like it when he blatantly blurted out that Yang Se Chan is a thief, but in the manner that he's really instigating it which caused Manny to laugh out loud.
Anyway, I hope Running Man gets the offer to go to General Santos. It would also be awesome if they have some sort of name-tag elimination in Pacquiao's vast land. It doesn't have to be a running game - it can be more of a treasure hunt in which they can collect stickers or items to eliminate a person.
Maybe they can bring back Ryan Bang for that episode.
