I am a huge Shaquille O'Neal and Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway fan. At the moment, I am building on my Shaq and Penny Orlando Magic collection.
I still can't pretend to love Penny's other jerseys.
Penny Hardaway as a New York Knick?
Eww...
Not to mess with the Knicks but clearly, Penny's best years were played with the Magic. He almost won a championship, he was a perennial All-NBA player and a former gold medalist. It's almost certain that Penny Hardaway could have had a better career if Shaquille O'Neal stayed with the Orlando Magic.
So it further pisses me off that LeBron James and Anthony Davis defeated these two in this match.
Now I am all for narrative and all that but AD isn't even LBJ's best teammate. I could have gone with Dwyane Wade and inasmuch as I hate this player... Kyrie Irving. Kyrie Irving had a better NBA career if he only stayed with Lebron James in Cleveland (with possibly either the Karl Malone/John Stockton or the Tim Duncan/Tony Parker duo as opponents).
