THE BLOODLINE | ROMAN REIGNS IS BACK AND WINNING MEANS EVERYTHING

The Bloodline versus Cody Rhodes feud has been a bit one-sided.

Formed around alleged new tribal chief Solo Sikoa, the faction took out OGs Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman and re-structured everything Roman Reigns had created, including the Tribal Chief moniker.

However, Solo can't get the job done when it matters, as Cody Rhodes is still the champion.

Maybe that's the reason for the Bloodline Civil War.

Reigns never came out to beat down Solo when he inflicted that beatdown on Jimmy, and most especially re-write everything he told Heyman.

Solo lost to Rhodes despite the presence of Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. Yes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton got Rhodes' back, but Reigns usually wins his matches despite the outside interference.

So as far as who's back in the original boss role, this could be the issue. The championship is just a bonus for The Bloodline - it's the fact that they kept on winning that matters. Roman belittled The Usos after they lost their tag team titles, and their Wrestlemania loss was the reason why Solo turned on both Roman and Jimmy Uso. Paul Heyman? Well, he's still following the orders of a loser, so that makes him one as well.

One argument you can make here is that Roman interfered in Solo's match, which resulted in the defeat. This could be the contention between the two factions. For Roman, he knew Solo was a goner which is why he can no longer act as the main man. For Solo, Roman knew Solo was going to win which is why it was important for him to lose.

The only good thing working for Solo is that he has a solid unit backing him up. Roman never returned Paul Heyman's calls, has had a rocky past with Jimmy, and hasn't had any interactions with Jey Uso. On the plus side, Sami Zayn just lost his Intercontinental Title to Bron Breakker, and Jey Uso's last PLE match was against Damian Priest. With Priest and Rhea Ripley also dealing with what happened on Judgment Day, I think this will be another layer to ponder on.

And this is the beauty of the Bloodline storyline. Because Jey and Sami can't be sucked back into that vortex. If you think of it differently, so can Cody Rhodes. Yes, Reigns helped Rhodes retain, but Owens and Orton will have a lot to say if Cody, Sami, and Jey come in to try to help Roman. If this is for a "greater good" storyline though, maybe Cody, Owens, and Orton can momentarily make a truce with the Tribal Chief.

And then, how will The Rock fit in all of this?

There is layer after layer after layer of this storyline and yeah, this is cinema if you think about it. Roman coming out of Summer Slam like how Wolverine put in his cowl or Wesley Snipes returning as Blade, is just brilliant.
