SJ MOORE COMMITS TO UST AND I AM HAPPY!!!

I have seen SJ Moore play adult basketball against the rest of NCAA's Juniors division.

Wow.

It's a treat to see this 6'2 scoring machine unleash "mixed tape" level plays against the boys of the league. Sadly, much like Matthew Rubico and Amiel Acido, SJ Moore played for a team that never had the chance to win the NCAA 98 Juniors basketball tournament.

The thing about Moore is that it's like keeping a baby version of Arwind Santos, CJ Perez, and I guess Justin Brownlee in an incubator. You know he's going to be a high-flying two-way player but you don't really know what you're getting until the end of his growth spurt. I can see that he

Moore is going to play for the UST Growling Tigers and I think need to watch UAAP games again. Not since the days of Don Villamin, Jemal Vizcarra, and Iago Raterta have I distanced myself from anything UST. I know I need to support the school through thick and thin, but it's hard to watch the team score defeat after defeat.

And if you think about it, that UST team was not bad. It's just disappointing that for a team that once had Chris Cantonjos playing backup to Dennis Espino and Marvin Ortiguerra, Richard Yee, Gilbert Lao, Melchor Latoreno, Alwyn Espiritu trying to get playing time from Aric Del Rosario, for some reason, the Tigers can't recruit a decent big man.

And no, Raterta and even Christian Luanzon are combo forwards at best.

With that said the Tigers of last season were one of the worst.

Anyway, here's another SJ Moore highlight.

The former Arellano Brave will join the likes of Rhayyan Amsali, James Una, Gabriel Obusan, and Nigerian center Peter Osang. I have seen a couple of Moore's games in NCAA 98 and while he's a loss for the NCAA, I can't really say that he's going to thrive in Arellano. I don't know if Cade Flores and Axel Doromal have used up their eligibility but they need more firepower (and a Justin Arana clone) to get the Chiefs back to playoff contention.

Anyway, whoever gave Moore the idea of joining the Thomasian community must be commended.

This is why I like Pido Jarencio as the UST coach.
