SHOHEI OHTANI CREATES THE 50/50 CLUB

I was so swamped with many things that I just realized how missed an opportunity it was to post the MLB YouTube videos leading to Shohei Ohtani's 50/50 achievement.

Regardless, this is him now.

GOAT!

So the Los Angeles Dodgers ransacked the Miami Marlins on their home turf with 20 home runs. That said, Ohtani went 6-for-6 hits leading to his three homers. He also stole two bases and had 10 RBIs. Never in the history of Major League Baseball has this situation ever happened for just one game.

Also, the Dodgers clinched a playoff spot, Shohei's first since moving from the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters to the Los Angeles Angels.

This is also Ohtani's first season with the Dodgers following his six seasons with the Angels.

But yeah, Ohtani is the first player to get a 50/50 in a season, which would eventually conclude with a 51/51.

Before clinching 50/50, Ohtani became the sixth player to reach 40/40 in a season, starting with Jose Canseco in 1988, followed by Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Alfonso Soriano, and Ronald Acuna Jr.

I may need to buy another Shohei Class A merch on Shopee to commemorate this occasion.
