The Shinsuke Nakamura entrance is one of the greatest things Triple H brought to the current WWE landscape. I know this hasn't really returned to the main brand with I guess the exception of the entrance packages of Roman Reigns/The Bloodline, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, and Cody Rhodes (as per contract obligations) but these themes proved vital in the rise to fame of several former NXT competitors.
How I wish we'll get to hear the return of The Undisputed Era theme as well as The Glorious Domination theme of Bobby Roode.
Also, I guess this is how WWE and the rest of the wrestling organizations should book "forbidden door" matches. AEW ultra-spammed this in 2022 and from grand, their cross-promotional matches have turned into "normal" or "typical".
I think the botch of this cross-promotional brawl is Shinsuke's robe. I think he tried to flip it twice to no avail. His Pro Wrestling NOAH entrance though is awesome. This brings us back to his NXT days when his debut was regarded as the hottest thing in pro wrestling. Sure, it took one John Cena match botch to mess up his WWE main roster career but there was a time when his entrance theme alone is enough to give Nakamura the championship belt.
If this would result in The Great Muta returning the favor, then this is all good. With that said, I doubt if this would have a part two - considering that this is The Great Muta's retirement match and the reaction he got after calling Nakamura a discriminatory slur.
First of all, while I am not condoning these practices, Asia is different from America. Yes, we feel the same as the other countries with the atrocities in Saudi Arabia and in Qatar, but while they are country-shaming, Filipinos and other countries are doing their best to get income from these places. Also, if we're going to be extremely discriminatory about things, then should we still be mad at how Americans swerved my ancestors during the Filipino-Spanish War?
Also, Muta is a heel. Spitting mists is an underhanded tactic. When Muta sprays green things on his opponents, it gives people the precedent of having an extra arsenal to win matches.
And finally, no dude wants to be kissed by another dude. I don't care if this is in the United States or in Japan but I can kiss my dad on the cheeks but never in the mouth and I bet he feels the same way. Also, if people are too crazy about this, then maybe they need to watch Gaki No Tsukai or Documental. In Documental, their form of "fun" is jacking off or pooping on a table, or drinking breastmilk.
I think people are missing the point of why this match took place and while this is not Brawl Out, as I mentioned, I hope this is how we're going to see these kinds of shows and hopefully, Nakamura brings this momentous win back to his Smackdown character.
