Note: Jack Tanuan never stood a chance in a team that had Alvin Patrimonio, Jerry Codinera, Jojo Lastimosa, Glenn Capacio, and two top big men at that time - Ramon Fernandez and later, Abet Guidaben during his rookie year. However, once he got out of Purefoods, he showed flashes of brilliance in Swift and Sta. Lucia. With that said, he would become a marquee player during his time with the Negros Slashers alongside John Ferriols, Johnedel Cardel, Maui Huelar, and a young Reynel Hugnatan.
