Francis Arnaiz was a cornerstone of Filipino basketball during his illustrious career, as he was known for his ability to step up in crucial moments. Arnaiz helped his teams secure 10 championships, showcasing his versatility, basketball IQ, and leadership. A dynamic guard who could score and facilitate, Arnaiz was named to the Mythical Five three times (1975, 1976, 1982), solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s premier players during the 1970s and 1980s. Though he never claimed MVP honors, his knack for performing when the game was on the line earned him the affectionate nickname "Mr. Clutch." A key player for Ateneo and later in his professional career, Arnaiz’s contributions to Philippine basketball are still remembered by fans and players alike.
