Widely regarded as one of the best perimeter defenders in PBA history, Chito Loyzaga was a constant nightmare for the league’s top scorers throughout the '80s and early '90s. A product of the San Beda Red Lions, Loyzaga brought tenacity and hustle to the pro level. His defensive prowess earned him seven All-Defensive Team selections from 1985 to 1992, a testament to his consistency in locking down the opposition. With seven PBA titles under his belt, Loyzaga never had to be the leading scorer—he let his defense do the talking. True to the legacy of the Loyzaga name, Chito became a pillar of grit and selfless play, the kind of glue guy every contender needed.
