Regarded as one of the PBA's greatest shooters, Allan "The Triggerman" Caidic made an immediate impact in the league, winning Rookie of the Year and PBA MVP in 1990. His lethal three-point shooting earned him 6 Mythical Five selections and 5 championships. Caidic was also named Best Player of the Conference in the 1995 Governor's Cup and All-Star MVP in 1993.
Known for his remarkable accuracy from beyond the arc, Caidic's offensive skills overshadowed his defense, though he was never selected for an All-Defensive Team. His legacy is cemented as one of the most prolific shooters in PBA history.
An interesting "what-if" surrounds Caidic's 1987 draft. Shell, who had the top pick, traded it away for veterans Philip Cezar and Bernie Fabiosa.
