ALLAN CAIDIC STATS
The thing about Great Taste at that time is that Shell never knew what they got. Shell at that time had the top pick of the 1987 PBA Draft. However, I think they wanted the services of Manny Victorino who at that time is a shade under 30 years old. Shell had something cooking and they were ready to part ways with a then-35-year-old Philip Cezar and a 33-year-old Bernie Fabiosa. So Victorino and Jimmy Manansala were traded to Shell for Cezar, Fabiosa, and the top pick of that draft. If you think about it, Shell would trade Bogs Adornado to Alaska for the draft rights to second-pick overall Al Solis and 1986 top pick Rey Cuenco after the Caidic trade pushed through.
So can you imagine a team with Caidic and Adornado alongside Cezar, Fabiosa, Sonny Cabatu, and Willie Pearson?
