I remember the start of the 2016-17 season for one thing - the absurdity of the 2016 PBA Draft.
If you follow this blog, this is by far, the worst decision the PBA has ever made. Again, this draft made or broke a lot of supposed top-tier amateurs. How is it that Arnold Van Opstal is an all-star and Wynne Arboleda never became one?
Also, how can you even develop AVO if he's going to play behind June Mar Fajardo and Arwind Santos?
Still, San Miguel and Ginebra fought in the Finals. SMB's Death Five proved more than enough to stop the Kings from "crowd favorite-ing" their way to a title. June Mar Fajardo continued his dominance while Chris Ross blossomed under Leo Austria's system.
I had an MS Excel file of their conference numbers. Gathering digital dust, I might as well share it with people. This is partial and unofficial though. I might have taken this on the PBA website.
Anyway, I'll probably do a couple of articles based on these stats - most likely Power Rankings and Rookie Rankings.
Not sure about the format though.
