NBA PLAYOFFS | MY ANTHONY EDWARDS ROOKIE CARDS ARE AWESOME NOW

You know you're destined for greatness when you just eliminated the erstwhile reigning and defending NBA champions in their homecourt... and during Game 7.

Again, the MVP trophy is a curse for Nikola Jokic's championship.

The Western Conference Finals match between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves is like a non-nationally televised NBA game.

Especially if this was five seasons ago.

But if you run this back to 22 years ago, this is an elite showdown between the guys led by Dirk Nowitzki and the dudes powered by Kevin Garnett. Actually, this is the time when Chris Webber's Sacramento Kings and Rasheed Wallace's Portland Trail Blazers (in some ways) were also friendly firing each other with hopes of dashing the drive of the Los Angeles Lakers.

I guess Tim Duncan and the rest of the San Antonio Spurs are also in the conversation, but there are times when this team hid in the spotlight to lead these teams to duke it out.

Anyway, Dirk and KG are giving way to the backcourt goodness of Luka Doncic and Anthony Edwards. The biggest problem of the Mavericks is Karl-Anthony Towns. And then there's Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid. I think I've been a broken record when I say teams jack up their wins with their scorers but the Wolves are a testament to this.

Will we see a Boston versus Minnesota final?

That's probably a KG wet dream, and it's going to be awesome.
