This feels like a Panini Court Kings insert card.
Nonetheless, if Michael Jordan is a playable character, this is a treat. I remember back in the late 90s and early 2000s wherein Michael Jordan is the nameless roster player of the Chicago Bulls.
I'm glad Devin Booker still gets to be in the game as the poster boy. There were talks that it was only Michael Jordan... and after months of telling that he is the one on the cover... that would suck for D-Book.
Just noticed the Kobe.
Neat.
And I guess it's about time for the WNBA to have some sort of participation in the video game. The last time I really followed the league was when the Houston Comets were unleashing hell on the New York Liberty and LA Sparks. I have seen a couple of their games here and there but nothing beats the time when the triumvirate of Cynthia Cooper, Sheryl Swoopes, and Tina Thompson owned everyone inside the court.
I never had a chance to see Taurasi in action unless she's in a Team USA uniform but I know her WNBA achievements. Meanwhile, I have seen Sue Bird to her thing especially when she's paired with Lauren Jackson... and that was ages ago.
But while I believe Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi are WNBA GOATS, these women are about to hit the Hall of Fame in a couple of years from now. They could have given the distinction to an up-and-comer or at least have the WNBA's future share the spotlight with a sure first-ballot like Bird and Taurasi.
Sabrina Ionescu must be in next year's cover because regardless of league and gender, hitting a 30-point triple-double is insane.
