There are exceptions.
For instance, Nikola Jokic. I bought the pop last November 14. I was browsing Facebook, minding my own business, when this site murdered my GCash account into submission.
If you're trying to save money and you are a Funko collector and you're browsing a FB page called Pop Till You Drop, then yeah... you need to constantly load your GCash account.
But unlike the other trashy NBA pops I bought, it's hard to see Jokic and his two MVP titles outside the Denver Nuggets. If the Serbian is going to the Hall of Fame, then he's most definitely going there with this team and with that jersey.
By the way, poor Carmelo Anthony. I guess they never saw Melo as their top guy after all his years with the squad. I think one indicator for teams to use is whether they have five or more All-NBA and All-Star games. Another is jersey sales. Sure, there are anomalies like Jeremy Lin but guys like Anfernee Hardaway and Grant Hill had many worldwide fans donning their kits to bring prestige to the organization and the city.
Also, I have been searching for Jokic Funkos for a while and got the pop for a reasonable price. There was a time when I almost ordered on an Australian website.
I stopped myself, mainly because of the insane shipping fee.
Anyway, I'm happy I got this... but I'll probably really sigh away from the whole NBA thing... unless I see Grant Hill, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, and other legendary ballers.
