MEAT MATCH | OBA FEMI VERSUS MOOSE

I know AEW is supposed to be WWE’s top competitor right now, but I’m really enjoying NXTNA.

The only thing that bugs me about the Oba Femi vs. Moose rivalry is what Moose is holding at the moment.

As much as I love Joe Hendry as champion, this matchup should have been NXT’s top prize against TNA’s most prestigious title. Don’t get me wrong—the X-Division Championship is cool, but the last time I was truly invested in it was during the AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels era, when high-flyers were running the division. On Moose, the X-Division Title feels more like TNA’s version of the Intercontinental Championship.

That said, this is going to be a banger between two Nigerian powerhouses. Moose’s spear is as devastating as Bobby Lashley’s, while Oba Femi reminds me of a refined Monty Brown—who could have been even better if his career hadn’t been cut short. Oba also has shades of a more agile Mark Henry, with glimpses of what Ahmed Johnson should have been.

Bottom line: Moose vs. Oba is going to be must-watch.
