When I was a kid, I used to go with my aunt to Makati Med for her treatment.
She's the best.
Anyway, we would often go on bus rides, and while it's good in the afternoons, it's a chore when you trek from Makati to Quezon City during the late afternoons and early evenings. I believe I spent my summer vacation back then standing while a group of office workers, students, and other commuters crowded the vehicle.
I never really saw the movie, but That Thing You Do was my bop back then. I think I would often hear it if the bus had either RX 93.1 or Campus Radio 97.1 playing in the background. It's funny that two of my favorite songs (the other being Stacy's Mom) came from one dude.
Adam Schlesinger is awesome.
Anyway, I was checking out YouTube when I saw this creeping on my timeline. It has Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day covering the song.
