Green Day made this awesome cover (not sure if this is the entire Green Day or Billie Joe Armstrong rocking it solo) on the awesome Tiffany hit, I Think We’re Alone Now.
Did I have a crush on Tiffany back then?
Yup.
Anyway, this is nice. I like to sing the song but I haven’t seen a lot of guys covering it. The Tiffany original, even if she's belting a lot of things here, comes across as a little too “pop” for my liking.
I just can't sing this in a videoke bar.
With that said, this Billie Joe Armstrong version is rocking and belted by one of the more recognizable voices in rock history.
Also, Billie Joe did a cover of this song with his grown-up kids.
