Kyrie Irving is out for the season with an ACL injury. I used to think he did the Boston Celtics dirty with how he handled his exit, but over time, I’ve mellowed on that take. The Kyrie we’re seeing in Dallas is a completely different player from the one in his late Cleveland, Boston, and Brooklyn days.
That said, being from the Philippines, I have zero idea how close Dallas and New Orleans actually are. I do know my history. John F. Kennedy visited Crescent City before heading to Dallas, but I have no clue if their juju culture somehow made its way to Texas. Honestly, I’m starting to think some shaman put a hex on Nico Harrison.
Or maybe it’s something in their water?
Ever since Dallas traded Luka Dončić, the team has been a mess. Things actually started going south the moment Daniel Gafford got injured. PJ Washington kept bouncing in and out of the lineup. The Luka trade was roasted by at least two to three billion people. Anthony Davis got hurt in his first game as a Mav.
And now this.

I bet when Klay Thompson signed his Dallas contract, he never imagined he’d be leading a rebuilding squad featuring Max Christie and Jaden Hardy. At this point, I don’t know if Nico Harrison was cursed, possessed, or just made some seriously unlucky moves.
Whatever it is, it feels like Nico's bad juju infected the entire city.
