I like how over-the-top Seth Rollins is because it amplifies his seriousness.
Also, I love the fact that there is an abundance of name-calling here. They did not go with outright curses, but rather they went with childish taunts, which is even worse for me, like stupid, dumb, moron, and idiot.
CM Punk is in a different world in terms of promos but Drew McIntyre is like the Deadpool of WWE in terms of breaking the fourth wall, and with the gnarl of Wolverine, if you think about it. I like how Rollins said that he's a spiteful, little bastard and just came out there and called the two guys just to boss them around because it falls with the personality. Even when Rollins sacrificed himself to Cody Rhodes' Finish The Story stuff, he was inserting his presence, whether or not it was beneficial for him. Coming out with the sassiest of referee uniforms is on brand as well. While there is a chance that this Summer Slam match will start the festivities or will be left out in the middle (because of what the WWE is going to cook in the Cody versus Solo Sikoa match,) this will be the best-booked storyline in 2024.
The fallout of this match is probably a revenge drive for Punk and McIntyre, a possible setup for Rollins versus Punk, and a triple threat between these three.
It's great right now. The predictable matches are awesome but the way they get there is just insane.
