CANCELED OR CANCELLED?

I'm just posting this here in case I need to know sometime in the future.

I would rather be a failed sports know-it-all than a failed grammar know-it-all.

Both "canceled" and "cancelled" are correct, but the former is American English while the latter is British English. When I write scripts for work and in this blog, I often use American English. It's the same case as "traveled" and "travelled," and the British words that have "u" in them.

Anyway, back to work. Hehe.
