AEW | WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO CESARO?

What are they doing to Cesaro?

I will try to watch AEW's All Out.

Try.

AEW is not my cup of tea. MJF is the only reason why I wanted to watch the current content, but they just made him heel for the sake of making him one. MJF is NOT delusional. He knows the fans long for his presence so to turn his back on them, unless he turned psycho, is unwarranted. When he turned on Daniel Garcia, it was like his typical self. When he won the International Championship and made it into the American Championship, he was still acting goofy.

Again, the fans know this.

That's why this MJF run is not received as well as his AEW Championship run even if the company spammed his presence.

But back to Cesaro.

So what, he's going to wear a hat now?

Just like most WWE-turned-AEW wrestlers, the only reason why I wanted Cesaro to leave the WWE is for him to become a main event player. When he won the ROH Championship, I thought that was the start. But then he became part of the Blackpool Combat Club, a stable where there is no promotion because he is aligned with Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley. How can he get promoted when he is part of a group of former WWE and AEW champions?

As Claudio Castignoli, he ping-ponged from upper midcard to lower midcard. And while yeah, he has held many titles, but what are these titles exactly? PAC is also in the same midcard limbo as Claudio, and Wheeler Yuta will never elevate him. I don't want to compare the BCC with Evolution and I am not happy with this comparison, but Claudio and Yuta are the rookie versions of Batista and Randy Orton.

Unfortunately for Claudio, Yuta is pretty much still a rookie compared to him, and Claudio is no Batista at this stage of his career.

So why is it that it was Yuta getting the dramatic angle when Bryan Danielson was messed up by Jack Perry, Killswitch, and now the rest of his former team? How will this move to ditch Danielson and align with Moxley benefit Claudio?

And should I check on the heel-face status of Moxley? All of a sudden, he returned with Marina Shafir, Roderick Strong's wife, with a different outlook, and he called out Darby Allin. All of a sudden, he destroyed his alliance with Danielson and took PAC and Claudio with him (unless Yuta aligns with them eventually.) If this is the rumored Shane McMahon group, then why would Shane turn on Bryan? The logical move in this scenario is to have a WWE-like faction with Shane, Moxley, and Danielson at the forefront. Yes, Danielson is a face at the moment, but why are they making Shane heel in an organization that has The Elite, Christian Cage's Group, Don Callis' Group, Stokely Hathaway's Group, and whatever jobber group there is in the company?

If you think about it, I'll have Saraya in the Shafir position as well. The bodyguard woman troupe has been overused in AEW, but why would Jon Moxley, PAC, and Claudio need Shafir as a bodyguard? She's a generic woman with no personality other than standing there. Saraya would have bounced around and become the Harley Quinn of the group. Shafir can be imposing, but she's no Chyna, or what Kamille is doing with Mercedes Mone.

But yeah, I made this quick blog because of Cesaro or Claudio, if you want to the "2024" about this. I really thought they took him so he could level up his game. I don't know if he is coasting behind the scenes, and I don't know if his age is his problem, but I don't think it's a good idea to waste his talents while he still has it.

He is not an enforcer.

Claudio is a star.

He can easily be inserted into the Swerve Strickland position if AEW wants him to be in that spot. The only problem with his WWE "Jason Statham/Transporter" gimmick is that he's in the midcard. If you place him in the thick of things with that gimmick, he can be like the AEW version of the old NWA Nick Aldis character.

Stop making him Jon Moxley's version of Jake Hager!!!
