ADRIAN GRIFFIN GETS THE BOOT

It's unfortunate that Adrian Griffin loses his job as Milwaukee Bucks coach. Being a first-time coach with a team that has the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard is kind of a death nail.

For every success story like Erik Spoelstra who is a young coach who survived superstar players, are guys like David Blatt.

Joe Prunty is definitely an interim coach because I don't think the Bucks would lean on a guy with zero NBA head coaching experience to lead their team to a championship. They have to get a big-time coach with championship credentials.

Doc Rivers is turning into the frontrunner for the coaching job.

When the Bucks acquired Lillard from that blockbuster trade, they thought that two super superstars would take them back to the Finals. This is a cool thought, except that their bench got decimated in the process. And because of the trade, Milwaukee gave Boston the chance to acquire Jrue Holiday. Dame Dollar trumps Jrue, but Boston also got to keep Kristaps Porzingis and their dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. If they are going to battle with Boston and Philadelphia, I feel like they need to pad on their bench, and this includes their coach.

Inasmuch as I am a Boston fan, I can't see Doc Rivers giving them a championship this season.

With that said, in terms of star power, are there any other coaches of his caliber?
