Wazap.
My name is Syd and I just turned 42.
My dream this year is to be brave and try to accomplish many things. At the moment, I have spent at least 100k on Lorcana cards, and here's the card game's success after five years. Had I known what I know now, I would have been a cardboard investor during the first edition of Pokemon cards, I would have learned about the stock market in my teens, and I would have invested in a bunch of bonds and funds. I also need to trade away some of my collectibles.
Also, I am finally a registered voter, and I just renewed my driver's license. By April, I want to have at least an SSS ID card and a renewed passport. By the end of the year, I hope to get the chance to loan in either SSS or Pag-Ibig.
There was this travel show in IBC 13 back in the day called Travelling with a Shoestring Budget. I don't know if the show title is correct, but there was this dude who just went to different places for less than 2,000 pesos. I have yet to fly outside the Philippines so this is one of my missions.
The thing about me is I tend to adapt. My current existence is a bad conversation starter, but at least I get to finish the talk either hopeful or vengeful. My current motto in life is to "be brave." I am at a crossroads between looking into the future and staying accountable. At the moment, I am the latter.
Finally, I think this is the year where I look for other opportunities. I am not going to look for other work, but I will try to distance myself from all the stress eating, the sleepless nights, and the overthinking of things. As mentioned, I want to check out investing and government perks. I want to sell on eBay, have time to sell on Facebook, acquire land where I can park with ease, and probably get my social life back.
