2024-25 PBA COMMISSIONER'S CUP SEASON STATS | BARANGAY GINEBRA SAN MIGUEL KINGS

With much of their core balancing duties between Ginebra and Gilas Pilipinas, you’d think fatigue would catch up to them. But true to their Never Say Die spirit, the Kings refused to let that be an issue. In fact, they were the only team this conference to play a grueling 26 games.

As always, Justin Brownlee led the charge, but he had plenty of support from Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar, RJ Abarrientos, Stephen Holt, and a returning Jamie Malonzo. Ginebra finished the eliminations tied for second, then took down longtime rival Meralco in three games before dispatching NorthPort with relative ease—all while several key players were in Dubai, representing the Philippines in the FIBA qualifiers.

In the end, they fell just four points short against TNT Tropang GIGA in the finals, a tough pill to swallow. But don’t count them out just yet—Ginebra is already seen as a top contender in the upcoming Philippine Cup, poised to spoil TNT’s grand slam aspirations.
